I had to look up that plant. I don't think it's one we get around here. It's very pretty and funky looking!
Thanks for giving the dimensions in metric! It makes it much easier for me to visualise and appreciate the size.
I'm loving the sinewy curve it has in the stem and the spiky leaves are beakoning me to look at the flower itself.
The texture and subtle colour changes you have put into the blue on the left side looks gorgeous and it's already blending with the green making pretty turquoise colours .
Scaling up is very difficult. The larger you work the more acurate you need to be. I think you've achieved lovely composition.
I'm so glad I stalked your page for several days waiting to catch your 5000 view . I hope you enjoy working within the broad parameters mentioned.
Glad you like! I think I'm in withdrawl from small things after working on that huge painting for so long.
My model is a dry seedhead, so I may get a little funky with the colors on it, the real thing's just kind of light brown after it's all dry, but the live flowers are purple and thistle-like.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
